How it works
CryptoWill uses a dedicated Ethereum vault, independent onchain approvals and a holder-controlled intervention period. The smart contract enforces who may act and where released assets may go.
The holder selects beneficiary Ethereum addresses and percentages, independent attestors, the required approval threshold, one professional attestor and the intervention delay.
Once deployed, beneficiaries and shares cannot be changed.The holder transfers supported assets into the dedicated contract vault. Those assets remain governed by the vault until the holder terminates it or the release completes.
CryptoWill never receives custody or withdrawal authority.An authorised attestor submits a reference and starts the approval process. The reference should identify an external professional process without placing private evidence onchain.
A claim alone cannot release funds.The configured approval threshold must be met and the professional attestor must be one of the approving signers.
CryptoWill does not evaluate evidence or approve on anyone's behalf.After sufficient approval, the contract schedules a future release. The original holder can reject the claim or terminate the vault during this period.
No attestor, beneficiary or CryptoWill operator can exercise that holder power.After the delay, each beneficiary claims their allocation directly from the contract to their preconfigured wallet.
The destination cannot be replaced by an administrator or attacker.Where technology stops
Professional advisers and executors remain responsible for their own legal obligations, evidence and decisions. CryptoWill is not an executor, does not authenticate a death and does not determine who is legally entitled to an estate.
